AlarmClock (for windows) By: David Schraitle email: rubikscubist@gmail.com aim: DvdShraytel alarm clock that will play a media file at a specified time Instructions: choose a music file using the text box at the top of the window, the alarm won't start unless something is in that box set the time and hit go, the file will start playing using your default media player at the time set. Extras: Modes: there are three modes to this alarm clock, "No Problem", "Challenge", and "Critical". No Problem will merely play the media file you have specified at the specified time. Challenge will play the media file, as well as max your system volume, then prompt for a 20-character password that has to be input or else you "won't" be able to close the program. The media file and password will also reset every minute until the correct password has been entered. Critical is the exact same as Challenge, except it will choose random registry keys and hold them "hostage" in a sense. the keys will only be restored to their original values if you put the correct code in, any other methods of stopping the program will result in the values of the keys being lost, and something may or may not go horribly wrong with your computer. this mode should only be used if you really need to be awake and are feeling dangerous. let this be your warning that you probably shouldn't use this mode. if you are unclear as to what any of the above meant, don't use critical mode. Presets: the dropdown next to the time selection is for time presets. put in the time you would like to save and click "Save", and the time will be saved in the dropdown for future use. to use a preset, just select it in the dropdown and click Go to remove a preset, select it in the dropdown and click "Remove" changelog: 05/05/11 ---1.2.0--- changed font of password so that it's easier to read added statistics such as time taken, and the ability to look at all attempts Challenge and Critical will check for task manager process every half second once the alarm is activated, and kill it 11/09/09 ---1.1.0--- fixed challenge mode not behaving properly removed "l" and "I" from random characters
